The Project Home provides a "single-pane of glass" view of all the key elements of a project with links to deep-dive into the details of any of the elements.



Note: The navigation on the left-hand side expands as a user navigates into a project. (And then contracts again as they return to the portfolio or organisation views). See Project Navigation for more details.


The sections below provide an overview of all of the available features and functionality with links to more detailed guidance where appropriate.


Project & Client Organisation

The Project Name is an interactive/clickable element. Follow this link to enter the editor where the project name can be changed along with other key project elements such as Project Operational Target, Client Organisation and Project Start. See Edit Project for more details.


The Client Organisation is also an interactive/clickable element. Additional details about an organisation can be seen here. The owner of the Organisation also gets the option to update the Organisation details. See Edit Organisation for more details.


Project Tags

Project Tags are a powerful way to organise projects with each project supporting multiple tags concurrently multiple views of the portfolio can be easily accessed.


See the Project Search section for details of the search capabilities.


Click on Project Name to changes tags. See the Edit Project section for more details.


Actionable Intelligence

The 4-dimension Actionable Intelligence is one of the smart features of Horizon PPM helping project teams to not only understand and focus on the important and urgent, but also get a view of scale and complexity in the same view. See the separate Project Priorities for more details about Actionable Intelligence.

Executive Summary

The Executive Summary is an opportunity to document the current project status overview. 


Enter the text Editor from the pencil icon.


Note: All editors in HORIZON PPM work the same way. See WSYWIG Editors for more details.


Risk Profile

The Risk Profile provides a RAG based view of the project status. See the separate Risk Profile page to update the RAG status and add associated headline comments


Completed Objectives

The Completed Objectives dashboard widget displays the number of completed objectives (the first number) and the total number of objectives (the second number). See the separate Objectives page to configure and update objectives.


Open Decisions

The Open Decisions dashboard widget displays the number of open decisions waiting resolution (the first number) and the total number of open decisions (the second number). See the separate Decisions page to configure and update objectives.


Progress

The Progress panel is an opportunity to document recent progress within the project.


Like the Executive Summary section above, enter the text Editor from the pencil icon on the top right of the panel.


Next Steps

The Next Steps panel is an opportunity to document the planned actions in the coming period.

Scheduled Activities

The Scheduled Activities widget is an automatically generated Gannt chart of the project timeline. See the separate Scheduled Activities page to view, add, update and delete the tasks.



Calendar Counters

The Calendar Counter series of widgets provide a variety of countdown views of remaining time available on the project. Click on a widget to view or update the details. 


Remaining Calendar Days

The total number of days between today and the Project Operational Target. See Edit Project to view or amend the Project Operational Target.

Remaining Working Days

The total number of standard working days between today and the Project Operational Target. Monday to Friday are all considered as standard working days (Saturdays and Sundays are excluded). In addition, the calculation will exclude any Event that is marked as a Non Working Day (NWD) and the location matches the logged in users location. An event is only  excluded from the count if the user's home location and (at least one of the) Event tags are an exact match.

Remaining Working Days

The total number of weekends between today and the Project Operational Target. Any full or partial weekend is counted as one weekend.

Percent Working Time Remaining

This is a calculation of the calendar days remaining between today and Project Operational Target compared to the elapsed calendar days between Project Start and today.

Dashboard Counters

The Dashboard Counters series of widgets provide a variety of counts of items found across the project. Click on a widget to view or update the details.


Actions

A count of all open Actions. Click to view and update details in the Actions section.


RAID

A count of all open RAID items. Click to view and update details in the RAID Log section.


Escalations

A count of all open Escalations. Click to view and update details in the Escalations section.

Events

A count of all registered Events (past, present and future). Click to view and update details in the Events section.

Resources

A count of all users and non-user resources in the project team. Click to view and update details in the Team section.


Documents

A count of all the uploaded documents in the project library. Click to view and update details in the Files section.

Project Finances

The Project Finances panel shows a selection of high-level tracking views. Clicking into any of the charts or widgets will take you to the detailed pages.


Note: To save space the Project Finances is a hidden by default. Click anywhere on the title bar to show/hide the details.


Budget vs Run

This stacked bar chart shows 3 components...

  • The approved budget (in blue)
  • The actual/committed spend (in red)
  • The remaining forecast spend (in pink)


Hovering a cursor over each section will provide a summary view. Clicking anywhere on the chart will take you to the Project Finances section.


Spend vs Approved

This provides a comparison of the actual/committed spend to date compared to the approved budget.

FTC vs Approved

This provides a comparison of the combined actual/committed spend to date plus the Forecast To Complete (FTC) spend compared to the approved budget.

Project Activity

This chart shows the number of user views and user contributions/updates over the last 3 months. Click into the chart to view more Project Activity details
