Introduction

One of the superpowers of HORIZON PPM is also it's own achilles heel!

A lot of work has gone into providing a structure that can be applied consistently across all projects ensuring (a) start-up is limited; and (b) navigating between projects is easy.

The downside of this approach combined with every project being unique by definition is that we may not have catered for everything.

To get around this we have introduced the PM Scratchpad. This is a private area for the project owner to keep their own free text notes that don't fit into the formal project structure.

It maybe notes on meetings or questions to be raised at the next ones.

It could be thoughts on a new approach.

It could be considerations for working with specific stakeholders.

It's whatever the PM want's.

The PM Scratchpad

The PM Scratchpad uses the same WSYWIG editor found throghtout Horizon PPM supporting simple formatting with basic mark-up as well as links - both internal to Horizon PPM or external to other sites. There is a separate PM Scratchpad for each project.

Accessing the PM Scratchpad

The PM Scratchpad is accessible from the left-hand side navigation bar...

Note: The PM Scratchpad is designed to open in a separate tab.

Updating/Editing the PM Scratchpad

Select Edit Scratchpad button to enter the editor.

Use the markup tools to format the text and add hyperlinks.

The PM Scratchpad history

All changes to the PM Scratchpad are recorded and can be viewed by toggling the History Bar...

Note: The PM Scratchpad is considered to be private to the project owner and this content is not made accessible to anyone else in the project displayed in the Project History.
